I Hate Writing – What Can be Done

The words “I hate writing” can be heard from many students. For somebody writing is really a big problem, and very often students do not know what can be done about it. Still, some solutions have to be found, since writing various kinds of papers in the college/university is a huge part of your academic life.

I remember the time when I hated writing too. In fact, I do not remember how I managed to overcome the problem. Yet, today the words “I hate writing” are not about me. I can express my thoughts on the paper much better than orally.

I can share with you my ideas concerning writing. Maybe they will help somebody to love writing. So, first of all, you need to find the reason why you hate writing. As for me, there is something about writing that you just cannot do properly. I am sure that you will not hate something you do perfectly. Thus, you have to think of that part or the writing process, which troubles you most of all.

These are some hints for you.

  • You do not know what to write about. I think you love writing your blog or e-mails to the friends. Why? Because you know for sure what you want to tell in your message. So, if you want to love writing, you have to define the purpose of your work and the exact topic.
  • You have some doubts about various writing styles. It can also be a good reason, since many students hate following all those requirements for the format of their papers.
  • You do not get the necessary support from your tutor. It also happens, and students are just irritated with a fact that they cannot get the answers to some questions.

Definitely, this is not the exhaustive list of the reasons why you hate writing. Yet, defining the exact problem is something that you need to start with, when solving the problem of abhorrence towards writing.

I Hate Writing Letters!

Telling the truth I hate writing letters. Every month my parents ask me to write them the letters. Thus, they know how I hate writing letters, still they ask. I did offer them to use the Internet in order to communicate online, but they tell that they are too old to buy a computer and learn more about the possibilities of the Internet.

Now I am at loss. I cannot fight against my parents, but the point that I hate writing letters makes me think about this.

I have been thinking about the possible ways out of this situation. The Internet is too much for my parents, so what will be okay?… I tried to weigh the all pros and cons. See what I get:

·         I am a student and I should prepare a lot of writing assignments for my classes. It takes some time and very often I have now desire to write a letter about my student life.

·         I want to spend my student days as I want and it happens that I spend all days long at my college, and all nights with my friends.

·         I work from time to time in order to have some extra money for fun or for making something good for my parents.

·         I have enough money in order to buy a new phone to my mom and ask her call me sometimes, when she wants to hear some news from me…

It was a mistake… Now I hate phones, as almost each day my mom calls me and wonders if I am okay. So, what is worse – to write the letters one day per month, without paying attention to the fact of letters’ writing hatred, or be afraid of your own phone every day? This is the question))).

I Hate Writing Tasks

You are a student and you have a lot of different writing tasks. Has it ever occurred to you that you start thinking: “I hate writing tasks!”? If yes, then this article is just for you, since I hate writing tasks too. What for should students perform their writing assignments, such as writing term papers, courseworks, research papers, etc.

I think that if a student has some gift for writing some academic papers, which presupposes carrying out some research, he or she should develop it in a form of different writing tasks, but what if I do not feel like investigating something, but I am made do this by the specificity of the educational program. It is at least unfair against students. How we can speak about the freedom of choice, when we cannot even do this.

It becomes clear that even on this level, students have no possibility to make their choice.

It does not mean that writing tasks should be excluded from the educational system. No, in order to decide whether you like or dislike something, you should try it. So, first of all, students should try their hand in writing assignments and only then decide whether they will continue doing this or not.

After I have done heaps of writing assignments, I can say that I hate writing tasks, but this cannot be the same case with you. So, try to do your best, when you are assigned to your first task and only then make your decision.

Good luck!
